GRÖNLID armchair is designed to be extra comfortable with a high, slightly reclined back, built-in lumbar support and padded armrests.

The armchair covers come in many different colors and materials, which all match the rest of the GRÖNLID series.

The curved and steady legs are made of solid birch and give the armchair a handcrafted look.

The fixed KIMSTAD coated fabric cover is a soft yet durable fabric made of polyester and cotton. The protective polyurethane coating means that it’s easy to keep clean and that it both feels and looks like leather.

The cover is easy to keep clean as it can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

You can complete with the small and lightweight GRÖNLID ottoman to add extra comfort to your armchair.

This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.

The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist color fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.

"Sketches and drawings aren't enough when designing sofas, the most fun part is going to the factory and testing your ideas. When I designed GRÖNLID, I thought a lot about the backrest’s look, and it was first on the factory floor that I came up with the solution after I started testing the loose cushions. The idea is that everyone should be able to use the cushions as they like so that the sofa suits them individually and feels both timeless and generous at the same time."

KIMSTAD coated fabric cover is a soft and smooth, yet also a stable and durable fabric that both feels and looks like leather. It has a base of polyester and cotton and a protective surface of polyurethane. The fabric is stain resistant and easy to keep clean. All you need to do is vacuum with the soft brush setting and wipe with a damp cloth.
